Rainer Könner is one of the top experts in target customer management in the German wholesale banking financial sector. After positions with Société Générale in Frankfurt and the German branch of the Schweizerische Kreditanstalt AG (SKA) (now Credit Suisse), he joined Helaba in 1995 as the Divisional Manager of the newly created Target Client Management division. For over 20 years, he was responsible for successful cross-product sales for multinational corporate customers, with a focus on the media, food, technology, aviation and selected companies in the energy sector. Between 2005 and 2008, he also built up a target customer management business with selected companies in France, Spain and Italy (and accordingly communicates fluently in four languages). Since 2007 he has been a member of the Advisory Board and, since 2015, Vice Chair of the Supervisory Board and member of the Finance Committee of a leading family-owned business in the packaging industry.
