Martin F. Schmidt

Martin F. Schmidt holds a degree in mechanical engineering and has been working as a consultant and interim manager for over 30 years. During this time, he has managed more than 400 assignments, primarily in medium-sized family-owned businesses. As an interim manager, he has assumed leadership roles in companies with up to 4,500 employees.

His areas of expertise include production, transformation, turnaround, and lean management. He combines extensive operational experience with deep expertise in organizational development and process optimization.

For about ten years, Martin F. Schmidt built and led ProGemma GmbH, a consulting firm specializing in lean management and organizational development. In 2024, he sold the company to an investor as part of a structured succession plan.

In addition, he served for many years as Chairman of the Board of the Project Management Association within the BDU.

His particular expertise lies in combining operational production expertise with the successful implementation of transformation and change processes. As he himself says: “Production is my home; transformation is my craft.”
