Carsten Rumpf
As Carsten Rumpf has more than 25 years of experience as a managing director, board member, and supervisory board member in national and international companies, both in retail and manufacturing.
After almost 20 years with the US corporations Panduit (network infrastructure) and Brady (occupational safety), Carsten Rumpf became a member of the executive board at the German family-owned company BERNER Group, a leading European workshop equipment supplier with direct sales. Under his leadership as CEO, the Caramba chemical group, which belonged to the company, was first restructured and then the core brand BERNER was transformed from pure direct sales to omnichannel sales and marketing and digitized. On behalf of P/E owner Triton, Rumpf was responsible for the post-merger integration of WernerCo, the implementation of Zarges' value creation plan, and further company acquisitions as part of the group's buy-and-build strategy. Most recently, he was CEO of the omnichannel equipment supplier KAISER+KRAFT Europa.
Carsten Rumpf has been active in supervisory boards since 2016, initially in internal mandates at Udo Bär GmbH and Albert Berner Deutschland GmbH. Today, he is a member of the supervisory board at K&V Elektro a.s., a leading family-run electrical wholesale group in Czechia, and an advisor at Caramba Chemie GmbH. He is also an active member of the supervisory board associations ArMiD, AdAR, and Beirat-BW, and a mentor in the HIGHEST start-up ecosystem at TU Darmstadt.
